FOUNDER'S NOTE

Research taught me to test claims, not trust them.

I am Dr. M. Imran, founder of East-West Shilajit Company. I spent eighteen months testing other people's shilajit before I decided to build my own facility. Not because I wanted to be a manufacturer, but because I could not find a supplier I was willing to put my name behind.

Why this company exists
Ask about processing and you learn very little. Ask about the rock and you learn everything.

East-West Shilajit Company was not founded to sell a supplement. It was founded because there was no supplier we were willing to put our name behind.

Shilajit is one of the most heavily adulterated products in the world, and the fraud almost never starts in the lab. It starts at the rock. Different ranges yield chemically different shilajit, and inside a single range the grades diverge sharply. A percentage on a certificate means nothing if nobody sorted the rock at the door.

So we built the whole chain ourselves. Our own workers roped onto the cliff face in Gilgit-Baltistan. Our own facility in Ghazikot Township, Mansehra. Distilled water as the only solvent the resin ever touches, and 40 to 60 days of sun deciding when a batch is finished, never a shipping date.

Then we hand the result to seven independent laboratories and publish what comes back, batch number attached.

What made us stop buying and start making.

These are our own findings across the Himalayas, cross-checked against independent lab results and human-trial feedback gathered with our US advisor. Every one of them is a reason this facility exists.

Danedar sold as pureMost suppliers we tested ran on animal-contaminated rock. We abandoned that supply line entirely.
Somali rock, Himalayan labelWe traced imported rock being sold onward as Himalayan. At thirty times the price gap, the swap is almost irresistible.
Glucose, mulberry, apricotBulking agents to stretch weight. Musabbar added to fake the bitterness buyers expect from real shilajit.
Synthetic fulvic acidSpiked directly into batches so the report reads better than genuine mountain shilajit ever could.
Heat processing sold as sun-driedAatashi passed off as Aftabi. Heat degrades the compound structure that sun-drying preserves.
Borrowed lab reportsBuyers have shown us a supplier's proof, only for us to recognise our own results under someone else's name.

Every claim we make sits on paper with a batch number attached. Check ours before you trust ours.

Our land. Our workers. Our facility.

The rock comes off the cliff face on the backs of people we employ, and goes straight to a door we own. Nothing is subcontracted, nothing is shared, and there is no trader anywhere in the chain. You are welcome to visit, or to watch the whole cycle documented day by day on our LinkedIn.

How we operate

Four rules we do not bend for an order.

Gold grade only

Pulled from 16,000 to 18,000 feet, where animals and contaminants cannot reach. Danedar is set aside at the door, every time, whatever the order size.

The sun sets the schedule

40 to 60 days, decided by weather and by the tray, never by a shipping date. Nothing is boiled or fire driven at any point in the cycle.

Verified, not assumed

Every batch is logged daily and tested independently. We tell you the method behind the number, because a percentage without a method is not a comparable figure.

Open on camera

Ask to see the rock, the tubs, the trays, the people. If a supplier will not show you, that refusal is your answer. We would rather you learn to check than take our word.

The Himalayan communities behind East-West Shilajit
Beyond the jar

Each mun sustains a family for half a year.

Forty kilos of rock is not a commodity line on an invoice. It is six months of school fees, medicine and food for the family that pulled it off the mountain. That is why our harvesters are our own employees, not contractors, and why non-destructive collection is not negotiable. This is not just a supplement. It is a livelihood and a heritage.

Test us before you trust us.

Ask for a sample and run your own lab test on it. Samples are free, you cover shipping only. Once you have seen the results yourself, we talk terms.
